A Classic Canadian Cedar Retreat with a Spacious Flat Floor

Create a dedicated outdoor retreat with the Dundalk Leisurecraft Harmony Barrel Sauna, part of the Canadian Timber Collection. Handcrafted from sustainably sourced Eastern White Cedar, the Harmony combines traditional barrel-sauna styling with a practical flat floor, solid cedar benches, aluminum bands, and a ready-to-assemble design. The current matching product is CTC22W / SAK96842.

The Harmony is designed to accommodate 2–4 people, making it suitable for couples, families, or small groups. Its compact barrel profile uses approximately 235 cubic feet of space while providing solid benches wide enough for either sitting or reclining.

The kit includes solid cedar cradles, marine-grade aluminum bands with stainless-steel hardware, a removable flat floor, and a 45 cm front porch with two windows. Heater and accessories are configuration-dependent and should not be assumed to be included with the base sauna.

Why You'll Love It

• Eastern White Cedar Construction — Sustainably sourced Eastern White Cedar gives the sauna its characteristic light color, natural wood character, and traditional appearance.
• 2–4 Person Capacity — Designed for shared sauna sessions while remaining compact enough for many backyard settings.
• Flat Floor Design — The removable flat floor provides a more conventional walking surface than a fully curved barrel floor.
• Solid Cedar Benches — Wide solid-wood benches provide comfortable seating and enough room to recline.
• Marine-Grade Aluminum Bands — Aluminum bands and stainless-steel tightening hardware help secure the barrel structure.
• Ready-to-Assemble Kit — Pre-cut components and supplied hardware are designed for straightforward assembly.
• Front Porch & Windows — The Harmony configuration includes a 45 cm front porch with two windows, adding a useful transition area to the sauna entrance.
• Multiple Heater Options — Depending on configuration, the Harmony can be paired with electric or wood-burning heating systems.

Designed for Traditional Outdoor Sauna Living

The Harmony's barrel form gives it a distinctive appearance while keeping the sauna itself compact. Unlike longer barrel models with extended porches, the Harmony focuses its footprint primarily on the sauna room. A current LeisureCraft-based specification source lists approximately 222–235 cubic feet, depending on the specification set used by the retailer.

Its combination of cedar construction, solid benches, and traditional heating options makes it suitable for a dedicated backyard sauna environment.

Eastern White Cedar Construction

The Harmony is handcrafted from Eastern White Cedar, described by current product sources as lighter in color with tight knots. The cedar provides the natural wood appearance associated with the Canadian Timber Collection.

The barrel uses solid cedar staves secured with aluminum bands and stainless-steel hardware rather than relying on a conventional framed cabin structure.

Flat Removable Floor

One of the Harmony's practical design features is its removable flat floor. This creates a more stable walking surface and distinguishes the model from barrel saunas that maintain a curved floor throughout the interior.

Solid Cedar Benches

The sauna includes solid cedar benches designed for both sitting and reclining. The current product description specifically notes that the benches are wide enough to sit comfortably or lay down.

Aluminum Bands & Stainless Hardware

Marine-grade aluminum bands wrap around the barrel and use stainless-steel hardware for tightening. Like other wooden barrel saunas, the bands require periodic inspection and adjustment as the wood naturally changes with environmental conditions.

Front Porch & Windows

The CTC22W Harmony configuration includes a 45 cm front porch with two windows. This provides a small covered transition area immediately outside the main sauna room.

Heater Options

The base sauna should not automatically be marketed as including a heater. The current matching product page explicitly states that the sauna price does not include the heater or accessories and offers several heating configurations.

Available options identified by current sources include:

• 6kW electric sauna heater
• 8kW electric sauna heater
• Harvia M3 wood-burning heater
• HomeCraft Revive 6kW electric heater

The exact heater depends on the selected configuration.

Product Specifications

Current sources differ slightly on cubic volume and assembled dimensions, so the values above are presented conservatively.

Assembly

The Harmony is supplied as a ready-to-assemble kit with pre-cut components, cedar cradles, aluminum bands, and stainless hardware.

Assembly should be performed on an appropriate level foundation according to the supplied instructions. Because this is a substantial wooden structure weighing roughly 1,044 pounds when crated, plan delivery access and assembly assistance accordingly.

Outdoor Installation Considerations

The Harmony is intended for outdoor installation. Prepare a stable, level surface that can support the sauna and provide adequate drainage around the structure.

The shipping crate is approximately 84" × 45" × 34", with a gross weight around 1,044 pounds. Delivery access should therefore be reviewed before ordering.

Care & Maintenance

Eastern White Cedar naturally changes in appearance with outdoor exposure. Follow Dundalk Leisurecraft's maintenance recommendations for exterior finishing and cleaning.

The aluminum barrel bands should also be inspected and tightened as needed. Current warranty information specifically identifies band tightening and regular maintenance as the owner's responsibility.

Warranty

Current Canadian Timber Collection warranty information specifies a 3-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. The warranty is parts-only and excludes normal wear, natural weather conditions, regular maintenance, misuse, and negligence.

Some individual retailers advertise additional retailer-specific warranty coverage, so the applicable warranty should be confirmed with the seller at purchase.

Safety & Usage Information

Operate the sauna and selected heater according to the manufacturer's installation and operating instructions.

For electric-heater configurations, electrical installation should follow the heater manufacturer's requirements and applicable local electrical codes.

For wood-burning configurations, the appropriate chimney, heat shield, clearances, and ventilation components must be installed according to the selected heater's instructions. The current product page offers chimney and heat-shield configurations for compatible wood-burning options.

The original draft included claims regarding detoxification, improved circulation, faster recovery, and therapeutic effects. Those claims have been moderated here; the product is presented as a traditional sauna and relaxation product, not as a guaranteed medical treatment.

Wellness Applications

The Dundalk Leisurecraft Harmony is well suited to:

• Backyard sauna sessions
• Couples and small families
• Shared outdoor relaxation
• Traditional sauna bathing
