A Classic Cedar Retreat with a Built-In Front Porch

Create a refined backyard sauna retreat with the Dundalk Leisurecraft Serenity 4-Person Barrel Sauna. Part of the Canadian Timber Collection, the CTC2245W is handcrafted from Eastern White Cedar and combines a classic barrel profile with a built-in front porch, solid wood benches, a flat interior floor, and a pre-hung bronze tempered-glass door.

The barrel design provides a compact outdoor footprint while creating a naturally rounded interior. The Serenity accommodates approximately 3–4 people and includes two interior benches plus two porch seats, giving you a comfortable place to relax inside or cool down outside between sessions.

The sauna is supplied as a ready-to-assemble kit. A heater is not included in the base sauna kit; Dundalk's sizing guidance recommends a 6kW heater for this model, and compatible electric and wood-burning configurations are available separately.

Why You'll Love It

• Eastern White Cedar Construction — Light-colored Eastern White Cedar with distinctive tight knots gives the sauna a naturally warm appearance and traditional character.
• 3–4 Person Capacity — Spacious enough for shared sauna sessions while remaining compact enough for many backyard settings.
• Built-In Front Porch — The 45cm porch includes two seats, creating a convenient outdoor area for cooling down between sessions.
• Solid Wood Benches — Two sturdy interior benches are designed for either sitting upright or stretching out during a session.
• Flat Floor Included — Unlike barrel designs that rely entirely on curved floor staves, the Serenity includes a removable flat floor for more practical footing.
• Bronze Tempered Glass Door — The 5mm bronze tempered-glass door comes pre-hung in a wooden frame for easier installation.
• Marine-Grade Aluminum Bands — Aluminum bands with stainless-steel tightening hardware secure the barrel structure and can be adjusted as the wood naturally settles.
• Flexible Heater Options — The sauna can be paired with a properly sized 6kW electric heater or an appropriate wood-burning setup.

Designed for Backyard Sauna Living

The Serenity's barrel shape gives the sauna its distinctive appearance while creating an efficient, compact form for outdoor installation. Its integrated porch adds useful space without requiring a separate deck or cooling area.

The 2m × 2m class design provides a practical balance between interior sauna space and overall backyard footprint. The current product drawing confirms an overall height of approximately 200cm / 78¾" and an overall width of approximately 200cm / 78¾".

Eastern White Cedar Construction

The Serenity is handcrafted from Eastern White Cedar, selected for its light color and naturally distinctive knots. The sauna uses solid cedar construction, with current product information specifying approximately 1.5-inch / 35mm solid cedar walls.

The natural wood gives the interior a classic sauna appearance while complementing the bronze glass and metal barrel bands.

Built-In Front Porch

One of the Serenity's defining features is its integrated 45cm front porch with two seats. It provides a convenient place to step outside between sauna rounds, enjoy fresh air, or simply use the sauna as part of a broader outdoor relaxation space.

Solid Interior Benches

Two solid wood benches are included inside the sauna. Their design accommodates both upright seating and stretching out, giving users more flexibility during a session.

Bronze Tempered-Glass Door

The front door features 5mm bronze tempered glass set in a wooden frame and arrives pre-hung for installation. The bronze tint adds warmth to the exterior appearance while maintaining the traditional character of the cedar structure.

Barrel Bands & Adjustable Structure

Marine-grade aluminum bands with stainless-steel bolts hold the barrel structure together. The bands can be tightened as the cedar naturally settles, helping maintain a secure fit over time.

Heater Options

The sauna cabin itself does not include a heater in the base package. Dundalk's current heater-sizing guide specifies a 6kW heater for the CTC2245W Serenity. The model can accommodate compatible electric or wood-burning heater configurations.

For an electric configuration, current dealer specifications identify a 6kW, 240V, single-phase heater with a 40A breaker requirement and 8-gauge wire in the cited sizing guide. Electrical installation should always follow the exact heater manufacturer's instructions and local code.

Product Specifications

The official-style product drawing confirms the 2m × 2m class barrel dimensions, while current dealer specifications provide the more detailed exterior dimensions and shipping information.

• Floor joists
• Wall staves
• Barrel cradles
• Marine-grade aluminum bands
• Stainless-steel tightening hardware
• Pre-hung 5mm bronze tempered-glass door
• Wooden door frame and handles

Optional Heater Configurations

The Serenity can be paired with a suitable 6kW electric heater or an appropriate wood-burning sauna stove and chimney configuration.

Current dealer packages include options such as a Harvia 6kW electric heater or a Harvia M3 wood-burning heater package, depending on the seller and configuration. These should be treated as optional accessories rather than included components.

Assembly

The Serenity is supplied as a ready-to-assemble kit rather than a fully assembled cabin. One current dealer estimates approximately 8 hours with two people for assembly.

Assembly resources include installation instructions and video guidance.

Shipping & Delivery

Current listings show the sauna shipping in a crate approximately 96" × 45" × 34", with gross weight around 1,113 pounds. Delivery arrangements vary by seller.

Because this is a large freight shipment, customers should prepare an accessible delivery location and verify whether liftgate or other delivery services are available for their address.

Outdoor Installation Considerations

The Serenity is designed for outdoor installation. Prepare a stable, level foundation capable of supporting the assembled sauna and its occupants.

Provide sufficient clearance around the structure for the door, porch, ventilation, heater installation, maintenance, and safe access.

For electric-heater configurations, electrical work should be completed by a qualified professional according to the heater manufacturer's specifications and local code.

Care & Maintenance

Eastern White Cedar should be allowed to weather naturally or maintained according to the manufacturer's recommended finishing and care practices.

Periodically inspect the barrel bands and stainless-steel tightening hardware. Because natural wood can move as humidity and seasons change, the bands may require adjustment over time.

Keep the interior clean and allow it to dry properly between uses. Inspect the door, benches, floor, ventilation, and heater components regularly.

Warranty

Warranty information varies among current dealers. One current dealer listing states a 1-year limited warranty for the wood structure and radio and 5 years for heating elements/electronics, while another dealer advertises a longer overall warranty. Because these terms are not consistent across sources, a fixed warranty period should not be published without confirming the warranty supplied with the SAK94862 order.

Safety & Usage Information

Use the sauna according to the Dundalk Leisurecraft instructions and the instructions supplied with the selected heater.

For electric-heater installations, use the required dedicated electrical service and have the installation completed according to applicable electrical codes.

For wood-burning installations, the correct stove, chimney, shielding, clearances, and ventilation configuration must be used.

The original draft includes claims about detoxification, circulation, and other therapeutic outcomes. Those claims have been moderated here. The product should be positioned as a traditional sauna and relaxation product, rather than a guaranteed medical treatment.
